Unfortunately, CBD is still a controlled substance in Canada (Health Canada's controlled substance act SCHEDULE II). We support legalization of this non-psychoactive cannabinoid, as we understand it's benefits. We intend to sell CBD products, if and when it becomes legal to do so.
CBD is Cannabidiol, one of many cannabinoids that cannabis plants make. CBD is also manufactured by our endocannabinoid system.
CBD is non-psychoactive, but is still encompassed within the same category as THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol, the psychoactive cannabinoid present in marijuana) in Health Canada's controlled substance act SCHEDULE II.
All vertebrate (mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish) have what is called an Endocannabinoid system. We have two different types of cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2) in the cells of our body. The majority of them are located in our brain, but they are throughout every human on earth!
Our endocannabinoid system also manufactures cannabinoids for us. Cannabinoids are even produced through a mother's breast milk for baby.
Although Industrial Hemp has virtually undetectable amounts of any cannabinoid, like a flea in a dump truck, it stimulates this natural system in our bodies.
